1 I wonder why it is okay to refer to someone white as trailer trash, but it is taboo to call a black man a spear chucker? |

1 A Republican in the news Mention Timothy McVeigh and this gave all of us many questions and concerns. 1. Was Timothy McVeigh a republican? 2.... was a United States Army veteran and security guard 3. On you tube Timothy said he had PTSD and anger problems. 4. Devout christian 5. Member of a gun association. 6. He had little interest in the bar scene, preferring to use his spare time to read about guns, sniper tactics, or explosives.[17] He once ordered a "White Power" T-shirt from the Ku Klux Klan in protest against black servicemen who wore "Black Power" T-shirts around his army camp.[18] 7. McVeigh wanted to join the Green Berets, the Army's elite special forces. After returning from the Gulf War, he entered the program for training to become a Green Beret, but dropped out quickly after sustaining blisters from new boots issued for a 5-mile march. He had disregarded advice to wait until he had rebuilt stamina lost during the war. Shortly thereafter, McVeigh decided to leave the Army and was discharged on December 31, 1991.[20] McVeigh was given an honorable discharge from the Army Reserve in May 1992. 8. TIMOTHY wanted to serve RESEARCH AND NEWS: We find many questions and need answers- http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2008/05/22/... It is well documented that the sort of treatment McCain endured can harm the mind. A 1989 study in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease, one of many studies on the subject, showed that a third of American World War II prisoners of war met diagnostic criteria for PTSD fully 40 years after their release. In 1999, McCain responded to the questions about his mental health by allowing selected reporters to peruse 1,500 pages of his health records dating back to his release from Hanoi in 1973. Reporters were not permitted to photocopy any of the documents. The reporters who looked at the records did not describe any mention of a PTSD diagnosis. However, they failed to note that it would have been impossible for McCain to receive such a diagnosis -- since the term "post-traumatic stress disorder" was not in use until seven years after McCain's release from captivity. The term first appeared in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders in 1980. There are behaviors associated with the candidate that would be consistent with a diagnosis of PTSD. Author Robert Timberg mentions McCain's intense explosions of anger --- a hallmark sign of lingering mental trauma from war -- in his book "John McCain: An American Odyssey." Timberg describes the episodes as "an eruption of temper out of all proportion to the provocation." Timberg, who McCain has said "knows more about me than I do," wrote that McCain's sudden fury is a result of Vietnam coming "back to haunt him." McCain has himself described having an adverse reaction to the sound of jangling keys, which reminds him of his Vietnam jailers. McCain also told doctors that during solitary confinement he had strayed pretty "far out" and had referred to himself as "mentally deteriorating." 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch... http://www.youtube.com/watch... http://www.youtube.com/watch... JOINED: Feb 17, 2008 Orlando, FL & Bogota, Colombia ISP Location: Clermont, FL 3 American men ex-military from Colombia have just been released from captivity and are talking about their experience along with a presidential candidate for that country. I believe their judgment regarding war and similar issues as being biased could be questioned today and in the future. McCain has the same problem yet Americans want to put his finger on the NUKE button knowing, by his own admission, that he has PTSD and has been treated for it several times and is on medication for it. Even when the diagnosis of PTSD is made it is not thought to be curable a belief held in the face of widespread evidence. Drugs have a very limited role in the treatment of PTSD and are used for depression and anxiety. Psychological treatments such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) have proven ineffective. Just one indicator of PTSD and there are others are chronic physical signs of “HYPERAROUSAL” that include sleep problems, trouble concentrating, irritability, anger, poor concentration, blackouts, difficulty remembering things, an increased tendency to being startled and hypervigilance to threat. This is something to consider in addition to his other medical conditions such as cancer in remission. PTSD OR WHAT HE WANTED TO SERVE: McCain turns irritable, sarcastic in interview Posted in the Des Moines Forum PTSD ----- WHAT WILL MCCAIN DO WITH THE AMERICAN ECONOMY AND WHAT WILL MCCAIN DO WITH OUR 401K. WHEN WILL MCCAIN STOP BEING ERRATIC--iable to sudden unpredictable change; "erratic behavior"; "fickle weather"; "mercurial twists of temperament";? http://www.youtube.com/watch... |

1 Just don't want to see Obama elected, but McCain is a big disappointment. McCain's supporters are angry. Angry with press, angry with charades, angry about Mccain's strategies. Just when you think everything is turning the corner, McCain stomps it down. Think McCain is in his own world and doesn't get the whole picture. Do not want to see socialism takeover this country and if there ever was a good time; this is it. Financial turmoil, angry public. Socialism here we come. Guess America was well on its way with government hand outs and if Obama is elected there will be more money being picked out of our pockets by the government. The rich can't subsidize America. They already have homes over the world, why stay? The businesses can't susidize America. They have been decimated and can't afford Obama's tax increase. Any money saved for retirement (if there is any left) will be taxed by Obama. McCain's election strategy is pathetic. Can't get a handle on his mercurial stump decisions. |

1 He began his career in primary education while an undergraduate, teaching at the Children’s Community School (CCS), a project founded by a group of students and based on the Summerhill method of education. After leaving the underground, he earned an M.Ed from Bank Street College in Early Childhood Education (1984), an M.Ed from Teachers College, Columbia University in Early Childhood Education (1987) and an Ed.D from Teachers College, Columbia University in Curriculum and Instruction (1987). He has edited and written many books and articles on education theory, policy and practice, and has appeared on many panels and symposia. Civic and political life Ayers worked with Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley in shaping the city's school reform program,[36]and was one of three co-authors of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge grant proposal that in 1995 won $49.2 million over five years for public school reform.[37] In 1997 Chicago awarded him its Citizen of the Year award for his work on the project.[38] Since 1999 he has served on the board of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago, an anti-poverty, philanthropic foundation established as the Woods Charitable Fund in 1941.[39]According to Ayers, his radical past occasionally affects him, as when, by his account, he was asked not to attend a progressive educators' conference in the fall of 2006 on the basis that the organizers did not want to risk an association with his past.[40] |

1 You got that right. This is the year the USA died thanks to both the Republican and Democratic Parties. Neither of those clowns are qualified and the majority of voters were stupid enough to vote out in the Primaries the ones from both Parties that WERE qualified. I don't like either Party, but it baffles my mind how the Dems picked Obama over Hillary. Standing alone, Hillary is another candidate that isn't qualified. But when you factor in Bill, the last two term Democrat we've had in Decades, I still can't fathom why she didn't go all the way to become our next President. I think the Dems suffered a brain freeze this election. |

1 Yes, if he belonged for 20 years to a white church that preached hate towards blacks, asians, latinos. And the preacher was his mentor. It's the hate. 20 years of hate. Don't believe Obama that he never knew what was being espoused in the church he attended. Don't trust him. He'll say anything to get elected. |

2 In the 1990s, billionaire Walter Annenberg, former ambassador to the United Kingdom under President Richard Nixon, was the United States' most generous living philanthropist. By 1998, Annenberg had given away more than $2 billion and the assets of the Annenberg Foundation he had established in June 1989 with $1 billion had grown to $3 billion and ranked as the 12th largest in the U.S. Every weekday from May through November, Annenberg was driven from his home in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania to his Annenberg Foundation headquarters in St. Davids, Pennsylvania, where as its sole director, he reserved virtually every decision for himself when making grants.[2] In June 1993, Annenberg announced he was making the largest individual gift to private education in history—$365 million to four schools:$120 million each to the communication programs at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Southern California,$25 million to Harvard College, and $100 million to his alma mater, the Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey.[2][3] In October 1993, Annenberg announced an unrestricted $25 million gift to Northwestern University bringing his total donations to Northwestern to $55 million, his last major gift to higher education for five years as he shifted the focus of his philanthropy to public K–12 education.[2][4] Annenberg told Newton Minow, senior counsel of Sidley & Austin, chairman of the Carnegie Corporation (1993–1997), Annenberg Professor of Communications Law and Policy at Northwestern University (1987–2003) and director of its Annenberg Washington Program (1987–1996): "Everybody around the world wants to send their kids to our universities. South America, Asia, Europe, all of them. But nobody wants to send their kids here to public school. Who would, especially in a big city? Nobody. So we've got to do something. If we don't, our civilization will collapse."[2] Annenberg sought recommendations on making a large gift to American public schools from his pro bono education advisors:[5] |

1 I'd think exactly the same. I can imagine too, that's why I like McCain. Those who think themselves superior and others stupid need only go to the mirror to view the biggest fool of all. |
