I am glad to see the "winds of change" (wallstreet) finally got our Mayor and Wendy Greuel back on track. We will be watching closely to have our "core services" back in order. Less concern about undocumented workers and more focus on police and fire departments which may be affected. I want more of my tax dollars on safety/protection of our city streets.

Safety and protection have everything to do with Illegal Immigration. The term Undocumented is incorrect, nice try though...

We can have safety and protection by ferreting out illegal aliens and getting them out of our city and country. NO MORE SERVICES OR BENEFITS TO ILLEGALS!

The Alcalde, El Mayor La Raza can spout all he wants about cutting back to "core services". What he won't do (which is why we need a new mayor) is provide those services to CORE AMERICANS... LEGAL AMERICANS. I'd go for a few more potholes and a few less tress for less illegal aliens.

Senor Alcalde, you can start at the driveways of every Home Depot in the city.

West Valley Dave Smith...AMEN BROTHER, from your neighbors in Lake Balboa...This city needs to get back to its core values by first not spending $$1,000,000,000 every year on supporting ILLEGAL ALIENS...(and you all can stuff the undocumented workers "BS" right out the window)...Enough is enough already...Support the real tax payers of this country and send the rest packing.

Ok, read the other posts and no one is mentioning that the global Fortune 100/military industries have long since decided that American workers are living too high on the hog. Their attitude is to enslave persons, much like the workforce in China and the hard life mining coaltan in the Congo. Since the agenda is moving along quite nicely, the mayor paying lip service appears only to appease the masses. Surely if I know the agenda, the mayor knows. The very rich living next to the very poor is nothing new..just new to many Americans, eh? I trust that when enough DWP workers, cops and firemen, etc lose their pensions, the slimy leeches/phoney's like mayor raza will swing sweetly from trees.

Please let's get the Mayor out of off office as well as Waxman. The Mayor is a former gang member who is leading the biggest gangs to riches. Were paying gangs not to form in our neighborhoods. Sad choice we made with everyone in office. Change wow!! We need a new everything in the state. Mayor your not for us and you can't take care of home how can we trust you pimp.

Yeah right and p'off the Governor, he just might have a heart attack. He just stuck his hand out for another $7 Billion to pay for the bills him and of course Tony V (da cool guy) spent on their trips to Israel & Mexico and of course misc. state trips for further photo op moments. Like who wants to see either of them anyways. ARnold you're too old for TV/Movies and A.V well I won't even go there, no whattta mean?? jellybeaner!

"Villaraigosa said he has not ruled out further increases in taxes or fees...."

If you want a Mayor who HAS "ruled out further increases in taxes or fees," I'm your man.

Villar got or has 2.5 million in his treasure chest to run for Mayor next year. Let him give it to the City to reduce the deficit, then he will be equal with his opponants. That would be fair.

I hope he takes so many trips town south and celebrates so much with all the "linda muchachas" and drinks so many tequila shots he forgets he is running for anything but his life when the Mexican Cartel find out about that $2.5 in his drawers...VIVA LA RAZA!!

Stop raising fees and taxes, and cut wasteful spending going back to what is important. Stop being a sanctuary city. A friend told me about a documentary she had heard about a husband and wife who came here illegally (the correct word) with her kids bought a house and worked in the garment industry. Then she complained about she was being taken advantage of and how she couldn't get benefits for her kids. Stop the illegal immigration and enforce our laws and cut waste and this city will do just fine.
